Trip Overview

Your 7-day trip through Uganda begins with a scenic departure from Kampala via the Mbarara route. Enjoy a game drive, a museum visit, and a boat ride in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Continue the adventure with a visit to Lake Katwe, traveling to Ishasha for its tree-climbing lions, and a nature walk or birding. Set out on a lion tracking excursion and the Agartha Taste of Uganda community tour. Travel to Fort Portal, visit the Toro Kingdom palace, and spend a leisurely afternoon exploring local sights. Your tour additionally includes a visit to Mabere caves, hot springs, and experiencing Fort Portal's nightlife.

Finally, return to Kampala, reflecting on your journey. Enjoy an adventurous and culturally rich experience in Western Uganda.

Day 1: Departure from Kampala via the Mbarara route

Guests will gather at the designated pickup location, ready for a 6:00 AM departure from Kampala. Traveling via the Mbarara route, they will make a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe, Mpigi district. Here, guests can explore, take photos, purchase artwork, and listen to the tour guide. This stop will last approximately one hour. The journey will then continue to the park, with a lunch stop along the way. Upon arrival at the park, guests will check in, refresh, relax, and prepare for the next day's activities.

​Day 2: Game drive, Museum visit and Boat ride

Guests will wake up at 5am and prepare for the day. They will go for the game drive at 6am so that they can find the animals still in their habitats. They will then head back to the hotel for breakfast and relax. They will then head to the museum after lunch, then head down for the sundowner boat cruise at 4 pm.

Day 3:  Lake Katwe visit, head to Ishasha, nature walk/ birding

After a 7:00 AM wake-up call and breakfast at the hotel, guests will head to Lake Katwe to visit the salt mine. The journey then continues to Ishasha, where they will check in for the night. In the evening, guests will enjoy a nature walk followed by a relaxing dinner at the hotel.

​Day 4: Lion Tracking and Cultural Experience

At 5:00 AM, guests will wake up and prepare for the day's activities, starting with a 6:00 AM lion tracking expedition. They will return to the hotel for a bush breakfast and some downtime. In the afternoon, guests will embark on a community drive to Agartha Taste of Uganda, experiencing the daily life of an African woman. The day will conclude with dinner and rest at the hotel.

​Day 5: Travel to fort portal, Palace, Afternoon at leisure

Guests will wake up at 7:00 AM to have breakfast and check out. By 9:00 AM, they will depart for Fort Portal, arriving in time for lunch. Afterward, they will visit the Tooro Palace before checking into their hotel, with the rest of the afternoon free for leisure activities.

Day 6: Mabere visit, Hot springs, Night life

Guests will start the day at 7:00 AM with breakfast, followed by a hike to the Amabere ga Nyinamwiru caves, known for their intriguing limestone formations resembling breasts. Next, they will visit the Semuliki hot springs before returning to the hotel. The evening will be free for a night out, marking their last day in Western Uganda.

Day 1: Travel and Rhino Tracking

Upon departing Kampala at 6:00 AM, embark on a scenic journey to Murchison Falls National Park, reaching the renowned Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you'll embark on a captivating guided tour, witnessing the grace of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Following the tour, indulge in a delightful lunch amidst the sanctuary's serene surroundings. After lunch, continue to your accommodation, where you'll check-in, settling in for the night.

​Day 2: Murchison Falls Exploration

Rise and shine to a sumptuous breakfast at your Lodge before setting off at 7:30 AM for a thrilling adventure to Murchison Falls. Accompanied by experienced guides, embark on an exhilarating hike to the summit of the falls, reaching the peak to enjoy a hearty breakfast while marveling at the breathtaking vistas. Following breakfast, gear up for an adrenaline-pumping ziplining experience across the Nile River.
